UK: Rishikesh Municipal Corporation Creates 170 HLBs (House Listing Blocks) for India’s 16th Census (2027); 170 Enumerators and 29 Supervisors Appointed

• Census to be Conducted Door-to-Door; Current Phase Focuses on House Listing, Caste Census Scheduled for Next Year
• Many Residents Have Also Submitted Information Online; Enumerators Will Verify These Submissions as Well

Rishikesh: For India’s 16th Census (2027), the Rishikesh Municipal Corporation has established a total of 170 HLBs (House Listing Blocks). One enumerator has been appointed for each House Listing Block—totaling 170 enumerators—along with 29 supervisors. All enumerators and supervisors have been issued their appointment orders and census kits. Starting April 25, 2026, the enumerators have commenced the preparation of “Nazarī Nakshas” (notional maps) within their respective assigned areas. The esteemed residents of the Rishikesh Municipal Corporation area are requested to provide the enumerators with all the information requested by them. Any information provided by you will not be shared with any third party under any circumstances. All documents related to the census are strictly confidential.
