Nepal : General Elections date announced, Voting on March 5th, results on March 7th

Kathmandu : Following the Gen Z movement, general elections have been announced in Nepal.  Voting will be on March 5th, results on March 7th. Balen Shah, after resigning as Mayor of Kathmandu, is in the running for Prime Minister; the RSP party has nominated him as their PM candidate.

Four major contenders for the Prime Minister’s post: Balen Shah (RSP), Gagan Thapa (NC), KP Sharma Oli (CPN-UML), and Prachanda (NCP).Securing a majority in the 275-seat House of Representatives will be a challenge; Balen Shah’s election rallies are drawing massive crowds of young people!
