Dhaka: A court in Bangladesh’s Chittagong rejected the bail plea of jailed Hindu monk Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, who was arrested by Dhaka police on November 25 in a sedition case. The bail plea, filed by a team of 11 Supreme Court lawyers who travelled from Dhaka to Chittagong, was rejected by Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Saiful Islam after hearing arguments from both sides for about 30 minutes, Dhaka-based The Daily Star reported.
