Rishikesh MLA and former Cabinet Minister Dr. Premchand Agarwal on Thursday, accorded a dignified welcome and honor to the country’s  Vice President, C.P. Radhakrishnan, upon his arrival at AIIMS, Rishikesh. The occasion was graced by the special presence of Uttarakhand’s Honorable Chief Minister,  Pushkar Singh Dhami, and Governor, Gurmit Singh (Lt. Gen. Retd.).

Dr. Agarwal welcomed the Vice President by draping a sacred Chunari (ceremonial scarf) of the Mother Goddess over him—a gesture symbolizing the rich tradition of Indian culture and reverence. Speaking on the occasion, he remarked that the Vice President’s arrival in Rishikesh is a matter of immense pride and joy for the state. He noted that his visit would not only provide guidance to the state but would also lend a new direction and momentum to ongoing development initiatives.
