New Delhi: IS top this time was done by Aditya Srivastava who is a resident of Lucknow. Aditya is already taking training as an IPS officer. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the result of Civil Services Examination- 2023 on Tuesday. 1016 candidates have been selected for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Foreign Service (IFS). Out of these, 180 will become IAS and 200 IPS officers.

Let us tell you, this year 3 candidates who came in the top 5 ranks are already IPS officers. Aditya Srivastava, who achieved rank 1, Siddharth Ramkumar of rank 4 PK and Rohani, rank 5, are completing IPS training at the National Police Academy in Hyderabad.. The special thing is that this time Aditya Srivastava of Lucknow has achieved All India Rank 1. This was Aditya’s third attempt. Whereas, Animesh Pradhan got second rank and Ananya Reddy got third rank. Candidates can check their result by visiting the official website of UPSC upsc.gov.in.

This is the first time in the last 11 years that an IPS officer has achieved All India Rank 1 in this exam while in service. Earlier in 2013, IPS officer Gaurav Aggarwal had achieved All India Rank 1 in Civil Services Exam. Aditya Srivastava was selected in IPS last year, he is currently taking IPS training in Hyderabad. This was his third attempt. He was not selected in prelims for the first time.

Aditya appeared in 2014 from Aliganj branch of CMS, Lucknow. He had 98.4% marks in Inter. Did B.Tech in Electrical from IIT Kanpur. He was a topper there also. Aditya’s father Ajay Srivastava is an audit officer in CAG. Mother Abha Srivastava told that her son was extra ordinary since childhood. Aditya Srivastava has shared a photo of himself on social media after the release of the result. In this he has written- Dreams do come true. I will remember this journey of UPSC throughout my life and will always be thankful to those people who stood with me. In a way, Aditya has become an inspiration for the youth.
