NSA Ajit Doval reached Russia, met NSA Patrushev in Moscow

Ajit Doval called for closer cooperation in the fight against terrorism and concrete action to prevent cross-border planning

Moscow/New Delhi : National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Wednesday met Russian National Security Advisor Nikolai Patrushev for the second time this month to review the progress made in bilateral cooperation and discuss important issues of mutual interest. The Indian Embassy in Moscow said in a post on ‘X’ that Doval held bilateral talks with Patrushev on the sidelines of the 12th international meeting of high officials responsible for security matters in St. Petersburg. 

“Both sides reviewed progress in bilateral cooperation and discussed important issues of mutual interest,” the post said. Doval had condemned the barbaric terrorist attack on Moscow’s Crocus City Hall on March 22 and called for avoiding double standards in dealing with this threat. Earlier this month, Doval had met Patrushev on the sidelines of the 19th annual meeting of the secretaries of the security councils of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states in Astana.

Ajit Doval called for closer cooperation in the fight against terrorism and concrete action to prevent cross-border planning, financing and execution of terrorist acts at the BRICS NSAs meeting hosted by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation. Doval underlined India’s policy of using digital technology for inclusive economic growth and called for international cooperation for an open, stable, secure, reliable and inclusive framework to ensure information security.
