Dehradun: Good Initiative! Uttarakhand State Commission for Women will give training to stop human trafficking

Dehradun: Under the programs proposed by the National Commission for Women, Uttarakhand State Commission for Women is going to organize a training workshop to prevent human trafficking. This workshop is to be held in all the 13 districts of the state.

Uttrakhand State Commission for Women Chairperson Kusum Kandwal, while issuing a letter, has directed that to prevent the cases of trafficking of women and girls in the state, training workshop will be started by the commission jointly in Pithoragarh, Bageshwar and Almora districts of Kumaon. It is going to be held from Almora Vikas Bhawan on July 2022. After this, the joint workshop of Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital and Champawat has been ensured to be held on 22 July 2022 in the conference hall of Sushila Tiwari Hospital, Haldwani.

In which the Vice-Chairman of the Women’s Commission will be presided. To prevent human trafficking in Garhwal, training workshop program is to be held in Haridwar, Dehradun, Tehri and Pauri districts in Haridwar, Chamoli and Rudraprayag in Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi in Uttarkashi district.

In this workshop, from the personnel of the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell to the officers of various departments and social organizations, this training will also be given. So that such incidents can be prevented in the state.
