UK : Lucky Rawat of Uttarakhand will represent India in North Pole Expedition

Dehradun :  Lucky Rawat, a student from Chakrata, (Dehradun)  in the ‘Devbhoomi’ (Land of Gods) of Uttarakhand, India has been selected to represent India in the prestigious international scientific and educational expedition known as ‘Icebreaker of Knowledge’.

This expedition is a unique global educational mission aimed at familiarizing young students from around the world with the actual conditions of the Arctic region. As part of the expedition, participants work alongside scientists to gain firsthand insight into climate change, the Arctic ecosystem, sea ice composition, and modern technological research. The journey is not only enlightening but also raises awareness among future scientists about global environmental challenges.

Students from 22 countries are participating in this 10-day expedition, which commenced in Murmansk, Russia. Participants will travel aboard the nuclear-powered icebreaker ship 50 Let Pobedy to the North Pole—the northernmost point on Earth—where they will engage in significant experiments and studies related to the frozen ocean and Arctic science. Lucky has earned the honor of representing India after successfully navigating a rigorous international selection process. This achievement is a source of pride for both Uttarakhand and the entire nation.
