Nainital/Bhimtal: In the early hours of Wednesday, Neeraj Bisht—the Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (UKD) candidate for the Bhimtal assembly constituency—was touring his constituency. According to Bisht, he received information that the mountains in the Sundarkhal area were being illegally excavated using a JCB machine without any authorization. Upon receiving this tip, Bisht immediately arrived at the scene with his party workers and was shocked by what he witnessed: a JCB machine was actively engaged in illegal mining. Neeraj Bisht promptly seized the keys to the JCB and called for stringent action. From the site itself, he informed the relevant authorities about the illegal mining and demanded strict punitive measures against those responsible. Bisht stated, this is not possible administration support to Mining Mafias. I demand quick action and enquiry on this issue.
