On the auspicious occasion of the opening of the gates, Chief Minister Dhami performed a special *puja* (worship) of Baba Kedarnath, adhering to all traditional rites and accompanied by the chanting of Vedic mantras. During this ceremony, he took a sacred pledge and offered the very first *puja* in the name of the country’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. The Chief Minister prayed to Lord Bholenath for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the people of the state. Thousands of devotees from across the country and abroad arrived at Kedarnath Dham to witness this historic moment of the gates’ opening. As the temple gates swung open, the entire complex reverberated with chants of “Har Har Mahadev,” and the atmosphere became completely imbued with devotion. Faith and jubilation were clearly visible on the faces of the devotees. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that the *Char Dhams* (Four Shrines)—including Kedarnath Dham—constitute the spiritual identity of Uttarakhand, and the state government is fully committed to ensuring a safe, smooth, and well-organized pilgrimage experience for all pilgrims.
