Haldwani: The government is making concerted efforts to boost adventure tourism and winter-themed activities in the scenic, mountainous border regions. Tourism Secretary Dhiraj Garbyal stated that, just like last year, major events are being organized to promote winter and adventure tourism in Uttarakhand’s mountainous border areas. He noted that the government is continuously working to promote adventure tourism—through events like ultra-marathons and the Himalayan Car Rally—while also showcasing local homestays and culture. With the aim of curbing migration from mountain regions and strengthening the local economy, events such as the MTV Car Rally, the Himalayan Car Rally, and ultra-marathons will be held again this year. Adventure tourism enthusiasts from across the country are being invited to participate.
