Poland’s Carolina Bilawska Crowned ‘Miss World’ 2021 India’s Mansa Varanasi ranked 11th in the competition

Puerto Rico/New Delhi : Poland’s Carolina Bilawska has won the title of ‘Miss World’ 2021. India’s Mansa Varanasi ranked 11th in the competition. The 70th edition of ‘Miss World’ was held at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in Puerto Rico on Wednesday.

According to the official website of ‘Miss World’, Bilawska was crowned the 2020 winner by Tony-Ann Singh of Jamaica. After taking the crown of ‘Miss World’ 2021, Bilawska said, ‘I was shocked when I heard my name. I still can’t believe it. I am proud to be crowned Miss World… I will remember these wonderful days spent in Puerto Rico for the rest of my life.’ Poland has won this title for the second time. Earlier in 1989, Aneta Craiglika had won the title of ‘Miss World’ for the country. Indian-American ‘Miss USA’ Sri Saini finished second in the pageant and Olivia Yeses of Cote d’Ivoire came third. ‘Miss World’ 2021 was scheduled to be held on 16 December 2021, but it was postponed after Mansa Varanasi and 16 other contestants got infected with the corona virus. The competition was broadcast in over 100 countries.
