Dehradun : Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated Oho Radio 89.2 FM in Ballupur, Dehradun on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister stated that radio remains a highly effective medium for public communication, public awareness, and social consciousness. He expressed confidence that Oho Radio will play a vital role in increasing social awareness, encouraging positive dialogue, and disseminating public interest issues to various sections of society.

The Chief Minister stated that radio is a medium of information, education, and entertainment that reaches even the most marginalized individuals. Radio has played a crucial role in effectively disseminating information about the government’s welfare schemes, social concerns, disaster management, health, education, environmental protection, and other important topics to the public.

Chief Minister Dhami stated that the state government is continuously working to promote Uttarakhand’s rich cultural heritage, folk languages, folk arts, folk music, and local talents at the national level through various communication platforms. The Chief Minister stated that even in today’s digital age, radio’s credibility and utility remain intact. The role of community and FM radio is crucial in promoting local issues, positive news, and public participation. He expressed hope that Oho Radio 89.2 FM will become an effective medium for positive thinking, constructive dialogue, and public interest messages in society and will significantly contribute to Uttarakhand’s development and cultural prosperity. MLA  Savita Kapoor an Oho Radio’s RJ Kavya were present on the occasion.
