UP: Atiq Ahmed’s son Ali gave surrender application, absconding in extortion of 5 crores

Prayagraj : Ali son of former MP Atiq Ahmed, has filed a surrender application before the court through his advocate in the case of extortion and murderous assault of five crores. The Judicial Magistrate, while hearing the application of Ali Ahmed’s advocate Radheshyam Pandey, has summoned the report of the case from the police station Kareli. The matter will be heard on January 12.

Let us inform that nine people, including Ali, son of former MP Atiq Ahmed, were booked by his relative Zeeshan on December 31 under various sections including extortion of five crores and threatening to kill him. On the day of the incident, the police took two accused Saif and Arif alias Kachholi into custody and sent them to jail. Along with this, the police are continuously raiding for the arrest of Ali. On the other hand, the police had also applied in the court to issue a warrant for Ali’s arrest. Since then there were speculations about Ali surrendering.
