Muni Ki Reti: On the second day of the International Yoga Festival, (IYF2022) during the “Meet the Press” session, the Managing Director of the Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN) expressed his gratitude to the media fraternity for their cooperation during the festival’s inauguration yesterday. He remarked that the event, which commenced yesterday in such a grand, divine, and innovative manner, will provide yoga practitioners with daily opportunities to learn yoga, *Pranayama* (breathing exercises), naturopathy, and various other modern disciplines. Jain noted that on this second day of the festival, numerous eminent Yogacharyas shared their experiences with the practitioners. He also appeared satisfied with the efforts undertaken by the organizing committee. Today, alongside the regular yoga sessions, a “Heritage Group”—comprising 35 to 40 domestic and international participants (including the MD himself)—toured from Jankichatti to Swargashram and finally to Chaurasi Kutti (the Beatles Ashram), where a *Yogacharya* conducted a yoga session and provided insights to the group.
He mentioned that this year—following the lead of Parmarth Niketan—the Department of Tourism (hosted by the Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam) is organizing the event. The festival, running from March 16 to March 22, is set to be a success thanks to the active participation of the general public. Responding to questions raised by journalists, he stated that the very purpose of this interaction is to prioritize and address any issues or suggestions put forward by the media. During the press conference itself, he resolved certain difficulties faced by the journalists by issuing immediate instructions to the relevant officials. He also extended an invitation to the media to participate in the yoga camp and become an integral part of the yoga and *Pranayama* sessions. Therefore, in accordance with their request, they will be entitled to a 50 percent concession. He expressed his gratitude to the entire journalistic fraternity—including those associated with print, electronic, and web portals—for providing excellent coverage.
He stated that it is only through your support and public participation that we can establish new benchmarks of success. A ‘Bhajan Sandhya’ (evening of devotional music) featuring the renowned singer Anup Jalota is scheduled for this evening. Responding to questions from the press, he mentioned that he would request Anup Jalota to spare 5–10 minutes to address the journalists and would endeavor to arrange a meeting. Many individuals were present at today’s press conference, including General Manager (Administration) Lakshmi Raj Chauhan, CS Kanika Anand, Meharban Singh Rangad, Deepak Rawat, Ashish Uniyal, Jogendra Lal, Surya Prakash Kothari, Kailash Kothari, and Diwakar.
