Rishikesh: Two Persons died in a collision between a car and a motorcycle near Kunav village at Rishikesh-Cheela road

Rishikesh: Two motorcycle-borne youths died after colliding with an oncoming car on the Barrage Cheela motorway under Laxman Jhula police station area. Laxman Jhula police station in-charge Virendra Ramola said that around 7:00 pm on Monday evening, two youths on a motorcycle were coming towards Rishikesh from Barrage Cheela. The area comes under Raja Ji Tiger Reserve Park.

Both were Seriously injured after colliding with a car coming from the opposite side near Kunau culvert, they were brought to nearby AIIMS Rishikesh for treatment with the help of local citizens, but both were declared dead by the doctors. AIIMS is hardly five minute away from the spot. Those who have been identified as Sandeep Kuliyal age 27 years son of Prem Dutt Kuliyal resident of Sugar godaam road,  14 Bigha Kailash Gate Muni ki Reti and Digambar Prasad Goniyal age 30 years son of Sunder Lal resident  of Gohri Mafi village Raiwala who was a photographer.

The police, who reached after the information got of the accident filled the Panchnama of the dead and sent them for post-mortem.
