Rishikesh : The Cardio Diabetic Society organized a two-day workshop under the joint aegis of Cardiabicon, Uttarakhand and Department of Internal Medicine at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, AIIMS Rishikesh. Expert doctors presented a series of lectures in the workshop on Care of Cardio Diabetic Disorders in Co-morbid Conditions.

Director of the institute Dr. Arvind Raghuvanshi and Dean Academics Dr. Manoj Gupta attended the workshop as chief guest. Many diabetics and cardiologists from different countries including India participated in the workshop organized. The main organizer of the workshop and diabetologist of the institute, Dr. Ravikant told that diabetes is a serious problem, which has emerged as a big problem not only in India but in the whole world. Diabetes disease has very serious side effects on the human body. This disease can cause problems like various types of heart disease, impotence in both men and women.

Various diabetologists from Uttarakhand who attended the workshop emphasized on the use of latest technology and equipment for remote patients. During the workshop, Dr. Amit Verma, Diabetologist from Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr. Geeta Subrahmanyam from BHU, Dr. Barun Kumar, Cardiologist from AIIMS Rishikesh, Dr. Ashish Aneja from USA and many other diabetics participated and lectured. Presented.
