- Rishikesh MLA Honors Doctors on the Eve of Doctors’ Day
Rishikesh : On the eve of Doctors’ Day, Rishikesh MLA and former Cabinet Minister Dr. Premchand Aggarwal honored doctors serving in the Rishikesh assembly constituency at his camp office in Rishikesh. He felicitated the attending doctors in a traditional manner by draping them with shawls, adorning them with *Rudraksha* garlands and *Pahadi* caps, and presenting them with bouquets.
On this occasion, Dr. Aggarwal honored and appreciated the contributions of several medical professionals, including Dr. Ravikant (Head of General Medicine, AIIMS Rishikesh), Dr. Ravi Gupta (Senior Doctor, AIIMS), Dr. Anand Rana (Chief Medical Superintendent, Sub-District Hospital Rishikesh, and an Anesthesia specialist), and General Physicians Amit Rautela and Lokesh Saluja. Dr. Aggarwal remarked that medicine is not merely a profession but a supreme medium for serving humanity. Doctors work day and night to keep society healthy and safe. He noted that, especially during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic, doctors demonstrated unparalleled courage, dedication, and a spirit of service while performing their duties—contributions that can never be forgotten. He highlighted the significant role these doctors have played in strengthening and ensuring the accessibility of healthcare services in the Rishikesh assembly constituency. Their hard work and dedication have made timely and superior medical facilities available to the general public, which is truly commendable. He added that the government is also continuously striving to further strengthen healthcare facilities so that every citizen can receive quality treatment.
Dr. Aggarwal extended his heartfelt wishes to all the doctors for National Doctors’ Day—celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of the legendary physician Dr. B.C. Roy—and prayed for their good health, bright future, and continued success. The doctors present at the event expressed their gratitude for the honor, stating that this recognition would inspire them to work with even greater dedication. They pledged to continue their efforts to further improve healthcare services in the region.
