Ranchi : The Election Commission of India has ordered the removal of Deoghar DC Manjunath Bhajantri from the post. In this regard, the Chief Secretary of Jharkhand has also been instructed to take disciplinary action by forming a charge sheet in 15 days. Godda has been convicted in the case of registering 5 FIRs against the MP in a single day. The Election Commission of India has ordered the removal of Deoghar DC Manjunath Bhajantri from the post.
The commission has also directed to take disciplinary action against the DC by writing a letter to the Chief Secretary, constituting the charge sheet within 15 days. It has also been said that without the consent of the commission, Shri Bhajayantri will not be engaged in any kind of work related to elections in future. The Election Commission has held Manjunath Bhajantri guilty of registering an FIR against Godda MP Dr Nishikant Dubey in five police stations in a single day. Election commission ordered action Earlier, while issuing an explanation, the commission had asked Shri Bhajayantri why an FIR was lodged against Godda MP with a delay of 6 months in the model code of conduct violation case. On what basis the Block Development Officer was instructed to register the case.
The Election Commission had also asked that in the areas where the model code of conduct was not applicable, under what circumstances a case was registered in the police stations of that area. Why was the information not given to the commission for registering the FIR. Considering the reply sent by Shri Bhajayantri as unsatisfactory, action has been ordered against him. FIR was done in 5 different police stations An FIR was lodged against Godda MP Dr Nishikant Dubey in 5 different police stations of Deoghar district on 26 October for writing against Deoghar DC Manjunath Bhajantri on social media.
During the Madhupur assembly by-election, the MP had made several posts on social media, questioning the working style of the DC. Making the basis of those posts, an FIR was lodged in Deoghar’s Nagar police station, Devipur police station, Budhai police station, Madhupur police station and Chitra police station. MP Mr. Dubey had questioned the working style of the DC, calling the FIRs wrong. He had demanded action by giving information about the incident to the Election Commission.
