Police organized a signature campaign at Ramjhula Under the Drug Free India Fortnight

- Under the Drug Free India Fortnight, the police ran a signature campaign at Ramjhula.
Rishikesh: Another good initiative has taken by the Police department as SSP Pauri Lokeshwar Singh has issued instructions to all the police station in-charges of the district to celebrate the International Drugs Fortnight against drug abuse and illegal smuggling in their respective police station areas, under which Police Station Head Laxmanjhula Santosh Pathwal organized a seminar with local businessmen and elite persons at the Ramjhula Chowki to create awareness about de-addiction, where the Police Station Head also distributed awareness pamphlets to everyone. On this occasion, the police station in-charge Laxmanjhula said that through such programs, the society has to be made aware about de-addiction.
After the seminar, the police also started a de-addiction signature campaign at the Ramjhula outpost, in which local people as well as passengers and tourists participated enthusiastically and all expressed their commitment towards de-addiction. The signature campaign was started by the sub-district magistrate Yamkeshwar Anil Chanyal and he also made the local people aware about de-addiction. On this occasion, the local people and businessmen praised the Laxmanjhula police and said that the police has taken a meaningful initiative through the de-addiction signature campaign. Narayan Singh Rawat, Swargashram manager retired Colonel V V K Srivastava, Gaurav Agarwal, Mintu Rana, Vijay Dixit Kamal Joshi and Vinita Nautiyal and outpost in-charge Ramjhula sub-inspector Uttam Ramola head constable Sunil Rathi, Rajiv Kavi, Devesh and Vimal Bisht etc. were present in the awareness seminar. Under the de-addiction fortnight, the awareness campaign of the police will continue in the police station area in future as well.
