PB: SGPC forms special sub-committee to control potential misuse of AI
Amritsar : he Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has taken a major decision, seriously considering the increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its potential misuse. To control videos, photos, and other digital content being created through AI technology that violates the sanctity of Sikhism, the SGPC has formed a special sub-committee.
The main objective of the sub-committee is to seek expert opinions on AI-related matters and to formulate concrete suggestions to curb digital content that offends Sikhism, the Guru tradition, and religious sentiments.
The sub-committee constituted by the SGPC includes experienced experts from the fields of education, administration, and computer science. The committee also includes professors from universities and colleges, technical experts, and system administrators, so that solutions can be found by considering both technical and religious aspects.
The SGPC believes that Artificial Intelligence is a powerful technology. Its misuse can harm religious beliefs and traditions. Therefore, this sub-committee will conduct an in-depth study of the challenges posed by AI and will prepare guidelines to prevent such activities in the future. Strict and practical decisions will be taken based on the recommendations of the sub-committee.
