New Delhi: A big update has come in the NEET controversy case. Now the government has removed NTA DG Subodh Kumar. Pradeep Singh Kharola has been made the new Director General (DG), NEET PG exam to be held on 23 June has also been canceled.

Amidst the NEET exam controversy, the central government has removed NTA (National Testing Agency) Director General Subodh Kumar Singh. Pradeep Singh Kharola has been appointed as the new Director General in his place. Pradeep Singh Kharola is a retired IAS officer of 1985 batch of Karnataka cadre and CMD of Indian Trade Promotion Organization. After the paper leak case, the opposition started protests in the country. Students also started protests at many places. In such a situation, this difficult and complex problem is visible for the government. It is a situation of what to do and what not to say for the government. Still, a big action has been taken by removing the DG. But there is still a lot to be done in this. Amidst this development, the NEET-PG exam to be held on June 23 has also been canceled and its new date will be announced later. This exam is conducted by the National Board of Education in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). Protests are being held across the country against the irregularities in this exam. Apart from this, the Ministry of Education has constituted a 7-member high-level committee to bring transparency in NTA examinations and prevent irregularities.

The head of this committee will be former ISRO Chairman and former Director of IIT Kanpur K. Radhakrishnan. This committee will submit its report to the Ministry of Education in two months. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced the formation of this committee in a press conference on June 20. The committee will give suggestions to improve the structure, functioning, exam process, transparency, transfer and data, security protocols of NTA so that such irregularities can be prevented in future. Pradeep Singh Kharola has become the new Director General, he is originally from Uttarakhand. He is a resident of Dehradun. He did BE (Bachelor of Engineering) and ME from Roorkee. He has also done MBA from IGNOU. He is one of the capable IAS officers of the country.
