Mumbai : IIT Bombay student commits suicide by jumping from 7th floor of hostel, suicide note recovered

Mumbai : A student of IIT Bombay, one of the country’s most prestigious engineering institutes, committed suicide last night. According to the information, the student committed suicide around 4.30 in the morning. According to police sources,  the student committed suicide by jumping from the seventh floor of the hostel. Mumbai Police said that a suicide note has been recovered from the spot. In the suicide note, he said that he had depression and was undergoing treatment. He did not hold anyone responsible. Further investigation is on.

The 26-year-old student who committed suicide was studying in the second year of his Masters in Engineering. He was hurriedly admitted to the Rajawadi Hospital in Mumbai. Where the doctors declared him dead. According to the information, this student was a victim of depression. At present, the police is busy investigating the matter. Efforts are also being made to find out what was the reason behind the student’s stress.
