Major accident in Ladakh, 5 soldiers including JCO lost their life near LAC
Leh : A major accident took place in the river near Mandir Mor, 148 km from Chushul in Daulat Beg Oldi area of Ladakh at around 3 am on Saturday. Here a T-72 tank met with an accident during the tank exercise of crossing the river.
According to the information, when the tank was crossing the river, the water level suddenly increased. Five soldiers including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) were martyred in this accident. All five bodies have been recovered. The names of the accident victims are RIS MR K Reddy, DFR Bhupendra Negi, LD Akdum Tayyabam, Havildar A Khan (6255 FD Workshop), CFN Nagaraj P (LRW).Let us tell you that last year also an army truck fell into a 60 feet deep ditch in Ladakh after the driver lost control. 9 soldiers were killed in this incident.
