J&K : Three Pakistani terrorists killed in encounter, including Pahalgam attack’s main accused Hashim Musa

Srinagar:  Three Pakistani terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces on Monday in Harwan area near Dachigam National Park in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. Reports are that the main accused of the Pahalgam attack, Hashim Musa, was also among them. The army took this action under Operation Mahadev. The remaining two terrorists have been identified as Jibran and Hamza Afghani. Jibran was involved in the attack on the 2024 Sonamarg tunnel project.

American M4 carbine, AK-47, 17 rifles and grenades have been found from the terrorists. Some more suspicious items have also been recovered. The army may give information on Operation Mahadev on Tuesday. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha confirmed the killing of Pakistani terrorists. He said that the police-administration will give full information about this. I congratulate the army, police and all those involved in this operation. According to defense sources, a week ago, the security forces had received intelligence about the terrorists hiding in the Dachigam forest of Srinagar. These terrorists had re-activated a Chinese ultra communication set for the first time after the attack. The signals of the same satellite phone were traced.

After this, the security forces launched a large-scale search operation to locate the terrorists. Today morning at around 11:30, a contingent of soldiers from 24 National Rifles and 4 Para Unit found the location of the terrorists using advanced gadgets and killed all three terrorists present there.
