In View of the ongoing Monsoon, Proper arrangements should be ensured to take pregnant women to hospitals before delivery : CM Dhami
CM reached the State Emergency Operations Center and took stock of the heavy rainfall in the state

- The officials were instructed to remain on alert mode for 24 hours for two months
- The officials will regularly stay on the ground and look after all the arrangements
- Instructions were given to ensure that the devotees stay at safe places, food, medicine and adequate availability of milk for children
Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday reached the Uttarakhand State Emergency Operations Center located at IT Park and took information about the rainfall in various areas of the state. In view of the monsoon, the Chief Minister has instructed the officials of the government and administration to remain on alert mode for 24 hours for the next two months. The Chief Minister has also instructed the officials to make all the arrangements by staying on the ground regularly during the monsoon period. The Chief Minister has instructed the concerned District Magistrates to make necessary arrangements for the safety of all the devotees who have come on the Chardham Yatra. He said that complete arrangements of food, medicines and milk for children and other basic necessities should be ensured for the devotees. He said that in view of the possibility of heavy rains and keeping in mind the safety of the devotees, the Char Dham Yatra has been stopped for the next 24 hours.
The Chief Minister has directed all the District Magistrates to send the people living near rivers and streams and at disaster-sensitive sites to safe places. He said that it should also be ensured that people in areas where construction work is going on are in safe places. The Chief Minister has directed the officials to further speed up the search and rescue operation of missing laborers due to cloudburst in Barkot area of Uttarkashi tehsil. Out of 29 laborers, 20 have been rescued safely. The search operation of NDRF, SDRF and district administration is going on, two bodies have been recovered. He said that the search operations of those who are still missing in the vehicle accident in Rudraprayag should be further expedited.
The Chief Minister directed all the District Magistrates to create a database of pregnant women in all the districts. Regular updates should be kept on women who are due to deliver by the month of September. Proper arrangements should be made to take them to hospitals before delivery. All effective steps should be taken for the safety of mother and child. During this, the Chief Minister took information from the District Magistrates about the rain in various districts, the condition of roads and other basic facilities. The Chief Minister said that arrangements should be made to open the roads which are getting damaged due to rain. Adequate availability of JCB and other necessary equipment should be ensured at sensitive places. In areas where rivers, drains, streams can change their path, channelization and other management which can be done from a protective point of view should be done if required. On this occasion, Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Vinod Kumar Suman, Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, IG Garhwal Rajiv Swaroop, Additional Secretary Banshidhar Tiwari, Additional Chief Executive Officer Anand Swaroop, Rajkumar Negi and all District Magistrates were connected through virtual medium.
