Chandigarh/Haryana : The law to provide 75 percent reservation in private sector jobs for the people of Haryana has come into force. One of the key election promises made by Bharatiya Janata Party’s alliance partner Dushyant Chautala’s Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) in the state has been fulfilled.

Expressing happiness over the implementation of this law, Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala on Sunday said that today is a historic day for the youth because from now onwards, private sector companies, institutions, trusts, societies, and industries established in the state will provide jobs to the youth of the state. will be given priority. The rule of 75 percent reservation in the employment sector in the private sector in the state has come into effect from January 15.

An official statement quoted him as saying, “The implementation of this system will open new avenues of employment for lakhs of youth in the private sector.” A dedicated portal with a helpline number has also been created by the Labor Department in this regard. Companies will now have to display their vacancies on the portal, which will be continuously monitored by the government. In November last year, the BJP-JJP government had notified legislation to implement 75 per cent reservation for locals in private sector jobs. There is a provision for reservation for local youth in the private sector in jobs with monthly salary up to Rs 30,000.

This law will be applicable for 10 years. The state government has provided some concessions in hiring in private companies. Now the residency condition has been reduced from 15 to five years for obtaining a genuine resident certificate in the state.
