Haridwar : President Ram Nath Kovind reached Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya and Shantikunj, on the occasion of Golden Jubilee Year

Haridwar: President Ram Nath Kovind reached Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya and Shantikunj, the headquarters of All World Gayatri Parivar, on the occasion of Golden Jubilee Year of Shantikunj. Governor Lt Gen (Retd) Gurmeet Singh and Higher Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat were also present on the occasion. On reaching the Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, the Vice-Chancellor Dr. Chinmay Pandya, the Vice-Chancellor Mr. Sharad Pardhi, the Registrar Baldau Devangan greeted the President with a bouquet.

In the Mrityunjay auditorium located in the university campus, the program of collective photographs of the principal officials and professors of DENVV along with the President, Governor and Higher Education Minister was completed. On this occasion, Dr. Pranab Pandya, Chancellor of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya presented Gayatri statue, Gangajal, jute bags manufactured by DSVV Swavalamban Department and Universal Pragya Yoga Guide as propounded by Pandit Shri Ram Sharma Acharya to the President of Shantikunj Golden Jubilee Year. Thereafter, the President also planted a sapling of Rudraksha as a memorial in the premises of DENVV. The President took the blessings of Lord Shiva by offering prayers at Pragyaneshwar Mahadev Temple. Here the students prayed for world welfare by reciting collective Vedic chants. The President, while visiting Asia’s first Center for Baltic Cultural Studies, established with the aim of enhancing the sweetness and strength of relations between India and the Baltic countries, praised the efforts and research being done through it. During his visit to Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, the President appreciated the efforts being made by the university while observing the value-based education system, scientific spiritualism, yoga-Ayurveda, research, self-reliance and various creative and educational activities. The President then reached Gayatri Teerth Shantikunj. In Shantikunj, he visited the holy room of Yugrishi Pt. Shri Ram Sharma Acharya and Mata Bhagwati Devi Sharma, where Acharya Shri had completed the important work of spiritual practice and creation of literature for the world humanity. Yugrishi had darshan of the Akhand lamp lit from 1926, in front of which Yugrishi performed 24 Mahapurashcharan of 24-24 lakhs of Gayatri Mahamantra continuously for 24 years. This Akhand Deepak is the center of reverence for the Gayatri family members.
