Delhi: BJP spokesperson Dr. Sambid Patra will be the chairman of ITDC

New Delhi: BJP spokesperson Dr. Sambid Patra will be the chairman of Indian Tourism Development Corporation, while the Managing Director (MD) will be IAS officer GKV Rao.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Sambid Patra has been appointed as the chairman of India Tourism Development Corporation by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Wednesday. According to the official order, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (SCC) has accepted the proposal of the Ministry of Tourism to separate the post of Chairman and Managing Director of India Tourism Development Corporation from Chairman ITDC and Managing Director ITDC.
For how long did you get the responsibility-
BJP spokesperson Sambid Patra will be the chairman of Tourism Development Corporation, while the Managing Director (MD) will be IAS officer GKV Rao. The appointment of Dr. Sambid Patra as Part Time Non-Executive Director and Chairman, ITDC will be effective for three years from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Sambid Patra is the national spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party. In 2019, he has contested the Puri election but lost the election. A doctor by profession, Patra did his MBBS from VSS Medical College and Hospital, Burla, Sambalpur, Odisha in 1997. Patra was appointed the National Spokesperson of BJP in 2011, on which he has remained till date.
