New Delhi: Big blow to Akali Dal (SAD), Senior leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa joins BJP Just before the upcoming assembly elections in Punjab.

Akali Dal leader and President of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee Manjinder Singh Sirsa has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. On Wednesday, he had resigned from the Gurdwara Management Committee, after which he had decided to leave the Akali Dal.

Shiromani Akali Dal leader and Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee President Manjinder Singh Sirsa joined BJP on Wednesday in the presence of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. Before joining the BJP, Sirsa had met BJP President JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Sirsa has been MLA from Delhi twice.

Sirsa, while leaving the post of Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, wrote, ‘Due to some personal reasons, I am resigning from the post of President of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee with immediate effect.’
