Delhi : Afghan civilian’s body found lying on the road in Delhi’s Wazirabad, Police is investigating the matter

New Delhi: Delhi Police found the body of a 28-year-old Afghan national lying on the road in North Delhi’s Wazirabad area. There is a suspicion of murder in this case. Police have started investigation by taking the dead body of the deceased and sending it for postmortem.
Giving information about this on Monday, the police said that the incident happened on Sunday. Police said a passerby called and informed that a man, resembling an Afghan national, was lying unconscious on road number nine. When the police personnel reached the spot, one of their bodies was found lying there. A senior police official said the deceased has been identified as Shiraz. He said that prima facie it appears that Shiraz may have died due to bullet injury, but the real cause of death would be known after the postmortem. The official said that the postmortem will be done on Monday at the vegetable market mortuary.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Sagar Singh Kalsi said a case has been registered at Wazirabad police station and a forensic investigation team was also called to the spot to collect evidence from the spot. Police said that the accused of murder has been identified. He said that it appears that the murder may have been done due to family matters. Police said the man used to do business in Ballimaran area in old delhi.
