Dehradun: Two real sisters from uttarakashi used to smuggle drugs under the guise of courier, arrested

Dehradun: The Patel Nagar police station has arrested two real sisters who were smuggling into Doon after getting intoxicants from the hill areas through courier. Both sisters are originally from Uttarkashi district. For the last two years, both have been living in Doon with a rented room. After registering a case against both of them, the police presented them in the court. From there they were sent to jail in judicial custody.

SSI Patelnagar Kundan Ram told that information was received about the passing of drug smugglers from Brahminwala area. The team along with SI Vinayta Chauhan started checking on the spot. During the checking, late on Tuesday night, the Patelnagar police station stopped and searched two suspicious girls coming by scooter. During this, 320 banned intoxicating pills and 150 grams of charas were recovered from them.

Both were arrested from the spot and a case was registered against them under NDPS Act. The accused girls were identified as Swati Rana (24) daughter Rajendra Singh Rana and Preeti Rana (22) daughter Rajendra Singh Rana presently resident of Saraswati Vihar, E Block, Lane 6, Thana Nehru Colony, but their  Native District is Uttarkashi. Sisters work in a courier and photocopy shop near the Rispana bridge. Both gets intoxicants through their other acquaintances of Uttarkashi and the hills  through courier only. After this, deliver it to the drug supplier in Doon. Even during the arrest, both the sisters were going to the ISBT to deliver the recovered intoxicants.
