Dehardun:  Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while interacting with media representatives at the Chief Minister’s residence on Tuesday evening, said that keeping in view the wider public interest, the State Government has decided to withdraw the Uttarakhand Devasthanam Management Board Act.

The Chief Minister said that after assuming charge as the Chief Sevak of the State on July 4 this year, in relation to the Devasthanam Board, different types of reactions have come to the fore at the level of Teerth Purohits, Rawals, Panda Samaj, rights holders and public representatives associated with Chardham. Came. After considering all the facts in this regard, a high level committee was constituted by the state government under the chairmanship of former MP Manohar Kant Dhyani, the committee made its interim report available to the state government in three months as well as the final report of the state. made available to the government. A cabinet sub-committee was also constituted by the state government for this. After receiving the report of the High Level Committee and the Cabinet Sub-Committee, it has been decided by the State Government to withdraw the Devasthanam Management Board Act after due consideration in this regard.

The Chief Minister said that the State Government would make efforts in consultation with all the concerned people in Char Dham and other places so that better arrangements could be made at these places. He said that the state government would also take the cooperation of the Sant Samaj for making Uttarakhand its identity as the cultural and spiritual capital of the country along with the Devbhoomi. He said that in this direction it is necessary to take care of the economy of the state. The Chief Minister said that as per the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, it is our aim to include Uttarakhand among the leading states of the country by 2025. With the announcement of withdrawal of the Act, he also requested Chardham Teerth Purohit Haq Hakukdhari Mahapanchayat as well as other concerned people to withdraw their movement. He also expected cooperation from all to ensure better arrangements at Char Dham and other pilgrimage sites. The Chief Minister said that according to the situation of the country, this decision has been taken keeping in mind all the related matters. He expressed confidence that with everyone’s cooperation, it would be our endeavor to make better arrangements at these places.
