Dehradun:  Uttarakhand Nursing Mahasangh (UNM)  on Friday met DG Health Dr. Tara Arya, former Chief Minister and current Haridwar MP Trivendra Singh Rawat. During this, the Nursing Federation drew attention to the serious problem of unemployment. The Federation put forth its views at both the places. Along with this, it has demanded from the state government that the unemployed should get their rights.

The officials of the Nursing Federation Uttarakhand met former Chief Minister and current Lok Sabha MP from Haridwar Trivendra Singh Rawat in Dehradun and also met Director General (DG Health) Tara Arya. At both the places, the Federation put forward the important points of the unemployed in an effective manner. The delegation reached the meeting under the leadership of Nursing Federation President Harsh Vyas. During this, Rawat has assured that he will convey their point to the government soon. On the other hand, DG Health also praised the Federation for bringing the matter to his notice and said that he will consider it. During this, the Federation made aware of the concerns of the unemployed regarding the recruitment for 1455 posts in the medical college. First of all, the important points that the Nursing Federation put forward are as follows-

  1. In the case of recruitment for 1455 posts in the medical college, the process of document verification is starting from July 9. On different dates.
  2. The federation expressed concern that among the forms filled for the posts, most of them are those who got government jobs a few months ago, they are working in government hospitals in the different  districts.
  3. In such a situation, their turn will come again. What will happen to those who are waiting for years ?
  4. The federation told that there are many people who are outsiders, i.e. from other states, they have filled the forms here by preparing fake documents. In such a situation, questions are raised about the transparency of the government.
  5. The federation said, those candidates of the general category whose turn did not come in the previous recruitment and now especially the candidates of 2013, 2014 and 2015 batch, how will they get employment? They are becoming over age. This is not fair. Their voice should be heard. In such a situation, what is their fault? The recruitment was not announced for several years and then when it was announced again, their turn did not come.
  6. The federation warned that if the candidates who have already got government jobs are given appointment again, then most of the hospitals in the hills will become vacant.

Harsh Vyas, President of Uttarakhand Nursing Federation, says, when people have already got jobs on the post of nursing officer, everyone has also joined. Then by filling the form in this recruitment, they are snatching the jobs of unemployed candidates. In such a situation, they should not be given appointment in this recruitment. The government should take serious cognizance of this. The Chief Minister, Health Minister are requested to take a decision on this soon. In such a situation, the government should look into it. Then where will the transparency remain? Then what will be the justification of year-wise recruitment? In such a situation, DG Health said that the Federation has brought the matter to his notice and it will be considered. During this time, those who met the delegation included Preeti Mehta, Manish Chauhan, Bhaskar Rawat, Vishesh Daniel, Sushma Negi, Yashpal Rawat and Lokendra Rana etc.
