Rishikesh : Director General of Police Ashok Kumar has praised the work being done by Neerja Devbhoomi Charitable Trust (Rishikesh) to stop child begging in the city. Trust’s founder and Para Olympic player Neerja Goyal was also honored in the program organized at Police Line Dehradun.
Director General of Police Ashok Kumar said that “Operation Mukti” campaign is being run by Uttarakhand Police to stop child begging. Neerja Devbhoomi Charitable Trust is making an incomparable contribution in this campaign. Appreciating the work being done by the trust, he honored them with a letter of appreciation. On this occasion, the founder of the trust and Para Olympic player Neerja Goyal said that at present many social works are being done by the trust. One of them is to stop child begging. Told that on behalf of the trust, education material is provided to the poor children living in the slums. Not only this, financial help is also being given for the education of many children.
He said that often poor children go in the direction of begging, these children need to be shown the right path. On this occasion, he called upon to identify such children around you and take steps towards educating them. Nupur Goyal, co-founder of the Trust, Co City was also present during the honor program.
