Dehradun: NCC is the nursery where future brave soldiers are prepared: CM Dhami

Dehradun : Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday participated of 73rd NCC program. NCC Directorate organised the program at Ghangoda. On this occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was welcomed by NCC cadets with a guard of honour. During this, 15 NCC cadets, 6 ANO, 4 PI staff (JCO, NCO) and three civil staff were honored with certificates for their excellent performance by the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister said that NCC is more of a mission than an organization, whose aim is to inculcate discipline, determination and loyalty to the nation in the youth of the country. Today it is a feeling of great pleasure to see that NCC is achieving these goals. NCC provides an immersive experience to the youth of the country to realize their true potential and contribute in nation building. NCC has a proud history. Apart from the armies, there is hardly any area in the country where the brave NCC cadets have not flaunted their talents.
The Chief Minister said that the contribution of NCC cadets to the country can never be forgotten. NCC cadets have always been present on the spot with full dedication, whenever there is any crisis in any part of the country, any calamity or any work of general public awareness. It is a matter of pride not only for the organization but also for us that both the successful Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh have been NCC cadets. Recently Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Alumni Association of NCC. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji is continuously working for the empowerment of our forces.
The Chief Minister said that NCC is the nursery where future brave soldiers are prepared. Special attention is also being given by the government on the expansion and modernization of NCC. It is the endeavor of the Prime Minister that in the coming time 1 lakh new cadets should be prepared, out of which one third will be girls. The government also plans to increase the scope of NCC further in the border areas. NCC is committed to make the youth responsible citizens who contribute significantly in nation building. The country whose youth has discipline, strong will, loyalty, dedication, no one can stop the rapid development of that country.
NCC Additional Director General, Major General PS Dahiya said that Uttarakhand is a state of brave soldiers. Joining the army of the people of Uttarakhand is not only an employment, it is more than a tradition. NCC organizations are also inspired by their valor and dedication.
