Dehradun: CM Dhami inaugurated a one-day state-level orientation workshop of three-tier Panchayat representatives of Garhwal Circle and Personnel Panchayati Raj Department

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday inaugurated a one-day state-level orientation workshop of three-tier Panchayat representatives of Garhwal Circle and Personnel Panchayati Raj Department under Public Planning Campaign – 2021 Sabki Yojna Sabka Vikas at Maharana Pratap Sports College, Raipur, Dehradun. On this occasion, the Gram Panchayat Development and Assistant Development Officer, Panchayat, working during the Corona period, was given PFMS by the Chief Minister with a single click. Through this, 55 Assistant Development Officers, Panchayat and 455 Gram Panchayat Development Officers of Garhwal Mandal were transferred an amount of Rs.10 thousand each to a total of 510 personnel. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced that the honorarium of District Panchayat Presidents would be increased from Rs.10 thousand to Rs.14 thousand. Honorarium of Vice-Presidents will be increased from Rs. 6000 to Rs. 9800, that of Up-Pradhan from Rs. 500 to Rs. 1000, that of District Panchayat member from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 1500 per meeting and Kshetra Panchayat member from Rs. 500 to Rs. 700 per meeting.
The Chief Minister said that commendable work was done by the people’s representatives during the Corona period. Certificates of appreciation will be given to all the heads. The Chief Minister said that the mandate for the opening of open gyms at each gram panchayat level has been done. He said that the schemes are being run by the government keeping in mind every section of the society. Special efforts are being made to stop migration from rural areas. Along with employment, special attention is being paid to self-employment. Camps are being organized continuously for the solution of public problems at one place. Employment fairs are being organized in the districts.
Panchayati Raj Minister Arvind Pandey said that the work done by the Panchayat representatives in the Panchayats during the Covid period without caring for their lives is commendable. At present all the funds are being allotted online in the Panchayats. Working with transparency. He said that despite the limited resources, commendable work is being done by the Panchayat representatives. In the workshop, all the participants who came to the workshop were trained by the experts of Panchayati Raj Department and other linear departments. In three tier panchayats, GPDP, BPDP and DPDP, all the participants were apprised about the preparation and uploading of plans as per the requirement of the panchayats, so that the grants to the panchayats could be managed appropriately and as per requirement. Panchayats will make plans by selecting the schemes as per the requirement of their respective areas in relation to the grant received. Due to which budget grants can be spent on essential and development-oriented schemes first.
On this occasion, District Panchayat President / Vice President, Member District Panchayat, Pramukh / Senior Deputy Chief / Junior Deputy Chief, Area Panchayat Pradhan / Up-Pradhan etc. Panchayat officials of all the districts of Garhwal division received training.
