It is being considered a big setback for Uttarakhand Congress. This is a big setback for Karan Mehra, the new President of the State Congress, whose functioning is bound to be questioned after this.
After the crushing defeat of the Congress in the assembly elections, the party handed over the command of the new state president in the state to Karan Mehra. The party gave the responsibility to Karan Mehra as a young face and expressed confidence of ending the biggest challenge, but the ongoing differences within the party in the state have raised questions on his functioning.
