Champawat: This is the biggest consignment caught in Uttarakhand till date. The price is 10 crore 23 lakh and 84 thousand. DRUGS name is MDMA #Methylenedioxymethamphetamine. It was found in a joint action of Pithoragarh Police and Champawat Police. Under the direction of IG Kumaon Riddhim Agarwal, Champawat Police has hit hard on drug smugglers / drug traffickers. MDMA drugs worth ten crore twenty three lakh eighty four thousand rupees have been recovered. Champawat Police realizing the resolution of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami of “Drugs Free Uttarakhand” under the Drug Free Devbhoomi Abhiyan. Champawat Police team under the able leadership of Ajay Ganpati Superintendent of Police Champawat, took the biggest action in the state till date and arrested a woman after recovering 5 kg 688 grams of MDMA (synthetic drug). Who is the woman who has been arrested?
Two accused are still absconding in this case. Police is searching for them. The name of the arrested woman is Isha (22 years) wife of Rahul Kumar, resident of Pampapur Banbasa. On Saturday at around 6 am, a woman was seen going towards the canal, who looked suspicious. This location is Sharda Canal near Nepal border. When the woman was stopped, Deputy Superintendent of Police Vandana Verma checked the bag and found MDMA in it. Weight 5 kg 688 grams. This drug is also known as MD. The woman was immediately arrested. The woman told that her husband Rahul Kumar and his associate Kunal Kohli, resident of Tanakpur, had given her this bag from Pithoragarh on 27 June. Due to the strictness of the police in view of the elections these days, she was going to throw these drugs in the canal. During this time, the police arrested her. A lab was also established by them in Thal area of Pithoragarh district. Which made narcotics. These people used to prepare the drugs there. The equipment of the police lab was seized. These people used to take the drugs to Mumbai. They used to sell them at high prices in metros. Police is also investigating their Nepal links and Nigeria links/network. In this operation, Tanakpur CO Vandana Verma, SOG in-charge Laxman Singh Jagwan, Thana Prabhat Surendra Singh Koranga, Sub Inspector Sonu Singh, HC Ganesh Singh Bisht, HC Sanjay Sharma, Constable Umesh Raj, Kanseba Suraj Kumar, Constable Kuldeep Singh, Constable Madan Singh, Constable Jagdish Kanyal, Lady Constable Rakeshwari Rana, besides Sub Inspector Prakash Pandey, in-charge SOG and Constable Kamal from Pithoragarh Police were involved.
