Bhubaneswar: Argentina has won the Junior Hockey World Cup 2021. Argentina defeated Germany 4-2 in the final played at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. This is Argentina’s second World Cup title. Earlier, the team had won this title in 2005 as well. Germany is a six-time champion. However, he could not get past Argentina this time.
Argentina also became the third team to have won the Junior Hockey World Cup title twice. Apart from Germany (6 times), India also won this title twice in 2001 and 2016. In this Hockey World Cup, the French team finished third and the Indian team fourth. India had lost to Germany in the semi-finals. After this, he was defeated by France in the third place match as well.

Lautaro Domain scored three goals for Argentina. He scored these three goals on the penalty corner. Lautaro was also awarded the Man of the Match award in the final for this. Franco Agostoniscord scored the fourth goal for Argentina. Julius Heiner and Massi Font scored two goals for Germany.
Earlier on Sunday, France defeated India 3-1 in the third place match. Captain Timothy Clement emerged as a star player for France. He scored all three goals for the team. Timothy ended his World Cup campaign with 14 goals. At the same time, Sudeep scored the only goal of the match for India.
