Ahmedabad : A big update is now coming out in the plane crash that happened yesterday. Air India flight AI171, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, from Ahmedabad to London, crashed moments after takeoff. 241 people on board the plane died in this accident, while one passenger, British citizen Vishal Kumar Ramesh, survived despite being seriously injured. Additionally, 28 people also died in the hostel of BJ Medical College due to the debris of the plane, taking the total death toll to 269. The plane took off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad at 1:39 pm. Shortly after, the pilot made a “Mayday” call and the plane lost contact with air traffic control. The plane lost control after reaching a height of about 190 meters and crashed into the hostel of BJ Medical College. The accident also caused a fire in the surrounding area and damaged several buildings.

Soon after the incident, Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), and the Indian Army rushed to the spot and began rescue operations. Extensive efforts were made to recover the bodies and injured from the debris. The injured are being treated at local hospitals, and DNA tests are being conducted to identify the deceased. The black box of the plane has been recovered, which will help in ascertaining the cause of the accident. One passenger is alive in this fatal accident. A 40-year-old Vishwas Kumar survived the Air India plane crash. He said that thirty seconds after takeoff, there was a loud noise and then the plane crashed. All this happened very quickly.
