Unnao : Dalit girl was murdered and buried, allegations against the son of former minister

Unnao :  A Dalit girl, missing for two months in Unnao, was murdered by the son of a former minister of state and buried with a blanket in a septic tank behind Divyanand Ashram in Dostinagar in the city. Sensation spread due to the disclosure of the case on Thursday afternoon. Police recovered the dead body after digging on the spot of the accused lodged in jail.

Rajol Singh, son of Late Fateh Bahadur Singh, who was a former minister of state in the SP government in Unnao, was accused by Rita of Kanshi Ram Colony, two months ago, of missing daughter Pooja. Police registered a report but no action was taken. On this, Rita tried to kill herself by jumping in front of Akhilesh Yadav’s convoy in Lucknow on 24 January. After this, when the matter caught fire, the police hurriedly arrested Rajol and sent him to jail. On 04 February, the police interrogated Rajol on PCR remand for eight hours, then came to know about his companion Suraj, a resident of Nava village of Hardoi police station Mubarakpur. After this the police excavated the pit of the septic tank located behind the ashram of the accused. The girl’s body was recovered from the pit.

SP Dinesh Trivedi said that on the day of the incident, Rajol had called the girl to the ashram on a bluff. There, along with his companions, he strangled him to death and wrapped the body in a blanket and buried the body upside down in the tank. The SP said that many sections including murder will be increased in the case. Strict action will be taken against those who are involved in this matter.
