Tamil Nadu : In Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu, 11 people died due to electrocution during a Rath Yatra taken out by a temple. These people had come in contact with a ‘high tension transmission line’. Children are also among the dead. A big news is coming from Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu. According to the information, during the annual chariot festival here, many people came in the grip of high voltage wire. In this regard, the police said that 11 people have died due to electrocution during a Rath Yatra in Thanjavur.

It is being told that many people have also been injured in the accident, who have been taken to the hospital for treatment. Many of these conditions remain critical. The accident happened during the Rath Yatra leaving the temple.Giving information about the matter, the police said that so far 11 people have died in the accident. It is being told that the accident took place at Appar temple in Kalimedu. According to what is coming out, after the Rath Yatra exit from the temple, when it started to be folded, people were unable to take the chariot forward due to the net of wires laid above. Thereafter, as the chariot was reversed, it came into contact with the high-tension line. Due to this the current spread all over the chariot.

According to reorts, three to four people were seriously injured in the incident. The injured have been admitted to the Medical College in Thanjavur where they are being treated. The condition of the injured is said to be serious. Pictures of the accident have surfaced. In the pictures, the chariot can be seen completely burning.

Police said that children were also among the dead. The tragic incident took place near Kalimedu in the early hours of Wednesday when the Rath Yatra of Appar temple was being taken out. Here in the footage aired on TV, the chariot is seen completely damaged by the current.
