Sri Lankan PM Ranil Wickremesinghe ready to resign, cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya also reached among the protesters
Colombo/New Delhi: It has been informed from the Prime Minister’s Office of Sri Lanka that Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has agreed to resign. He wrote, “They stand with the people of Sri Lanka and will soon celebrate the victory. This should be continued without interruption,According to reports, President Rajapaksa has moved to a safe place.

However, there is no confirmed information about where the President is yet. Tension prevails in Colombo. Army has been deployed to stop the protesters. The police fired tear gas shells and also fired in the air to disperse the protesters who took to the streets.
