Lansdowne/Pauri : District Magistrate Dr. Vijay Kumar Jogdande conducted a surprise inspection of the booths of the development block Nainidanda under Lansdowne Vidhan Sabha on Sunday evening for the successful completion of the upcoming General Elections-2022.
Taking the information of registered voters and new voters from BLO, he directed that after filling Form 06 of new voters from door to door, make sure to register their names in the electoral roll. Said that those who are in other places outside their homes, make sure to contact them by filling the online form and getting the necessary papers online. District Magistrate Dr. Jogdande inspected the state primary school Queen, Pipli and Bhaun polling booths of Nainidanda development block and took stock of the arrangements. He directed the Deputy District Magistrate to ensure that necessary equipment and ramps should be arranged at the polling places as per the convenience of the differently-abled voters. The District Magistrate also gave instructions to remotely remove electricity, drinking water, toilets, cleanliness at the polling places. He instructed the officers concerned to make booths in place of small rooms marked for polling booths in large rooms and rooms with two doors for commuting.
He also said that the elderly and differently-abled voters who are unable to reach the polling place, they will be able to vote through ballot paper at home itself. He directed the BLOs to keep the information of the registered voters of 18 and 19 years at their booth and ensure to add the names of new voters as soon as possible. During the inspection of the polling booths, the District Magistrate interacted with the villagers and inquired about their condition. During this, he registered his name in the election manual and also inquired about the new voter ID. Said that the people whose names are not registered in the electoral roll can register by filling Form-06.
