Noida: CAG Report Exposed: Approval was not taken from UP government to launch farmhouse scheme by Noida Authority, loss of 2833 crores to the exchequer

Noida/New Delhi : A CAG report has exposed the Noida Authority. It has been said in the report that during the year 2008-11, approval was not obtained from the Uttar Pradesh government to launch the farmhouse scheme of Noida. Under the scheme, the government exchequer has been defrauded of Rs 2,833 crore due to the illegal allocation of farm houses.

The Noida Authority has been stirred up by a report by the Government of India autonomous body CAG i.e. Comptroller and Auditor General. It has been said in the report that during the year 2008-11, approval was not obtained from the Uttar Pradesh government to launch the farmhouse scheme of Noida. While it was necessary according to the rules. The nearly 500-page report also casts doubts on the manner in which the scheme has been allocated.

It has been said that due to illegal allocation of farm houses under the scheme, the exchequer has been defrauded to the tune of Rs 2,833 crore. The report also cited all the irregularities in the policies of the Noida Authority.
