New Delhi: Center angry over renaming of Ayushman Health Center in some states
New Delh: Some states have changed the name of Ayushman Health Center, on which the central government has objected. Now the central government is considering stopping the money. According to sources in the Union Health Ministry, under the Ayushman Health Center scheme, some modifications have been made in the construction of wellness centers in Telangana, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and instead they have carried forward the names of their respective centres.
According to sources in the Union Health Ministry, Punjab has converted it into Mohalla Clinic, in such a situation, the Health Ministry has expressed objection and is considering stopping the amount received under this scheme, because 60% of the amount under the scheme is with the Center. The government gives and 40% amount has to be given to the state government.
