New Delhi: The BJP has released its first list of 59 candidates for the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly elections. The party has cut the ticket of its sitting MLAs by making changes in 10 seats this time.
Releasing the first list of Uttarakhand candidates at Delhi BJP Headquarters, BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh said that the party has decided to field Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami from Khatima and State President Madan Kaushik from Haridwar. Claiming a thumping victory in the Uttarakhand elections, election in-charge and Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said that the party has fielded 4 spiritual leaders as well as 15 Brahmins and 3 Bania community candidates in its first list.
Ganesh Joshi from Mussoorie, Dhan Singh Rawat from Srinagar, Kedar Singh Rawat from Yamunotri, Subodh Uniyal from Narendra Nagar, Munna Singh Chauhan from Vikas Nagar, Satpal Maharaj from Chaubattakhal, Saurabh Bahuguna from Sitarganj, Sarita Arya from Nainital, Rekha Arya from Someshwar, BJP has declared Mahesh Jeena from Salt and Renu Bisht from Yamkeshwar.
The BJP has fielded sitting MLA Umesh Sharma ‘Kau’, a close aide of Harak Singh Rawat, who was recently sacked from the cabinet, as the party’s candidate from Raipur.
