Mussoorie : Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of schemes worth about 200 crores of Mussoorie assembly constituency in Mussoorie.
Inauguration of Mussoorie Town Hall costing 18.20 crores by the Chief Minister, Dedication of Multi Level Parking at Kingreg in Mussoorie costing 31.95 crores, Foundation stone of Mussoorie Reorganization Drinking Water Scheme costing Rs. 144.46 crores, IDH Landour, Mussoorie at a cost of Rs 5.24 crores Bhoomi poojan was done for the construction of houses for the families shifted from Shiffan Kot.On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced that 500 vehicles would be parked at zero point in Mussoorie. The sour water road will be constructed. 34 houses are being constructed with the help of Hans Foundation, the remaining 50 houses will be constructed by the state government if land is available from the municipality of Mussoorie. In Mussoorie, if land is received from Municipality Mussoorie, then vendor zone will be created. 1.5 crore has been approved for the building of Garhwal Sabha.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Mussoorie has been the birthplace of the state-building movement. Both Mussoorie and Khatima are such places from where the state agitators gave their martyrdom to make Uttarakhand a separate state. The government is committed to turn the dreams of the agitators into reality. The Chief Minister said that in the last five years, development works worth more than 1 lakh crore have been done in the state, which includes development of religious places including airport, railway line, Char Dham road project.
The Chief Minister said that Mussoorie is a major tourist destination, since many years the need for parking was felt here, now the tourists will get a big relief due to the construction of parking. To promote tourism in the state, special emphasis is being given on home stay scheme. Uttarakhand is a tourism state and it will be the responsibility of all of us to take it to the top, welcome tourists as representatives of Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister said that according to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, efforts are being made by the State Government to make Uttarakhand a leading state in every field by the year 2025. The Prime Minister said that the third decade of the 21st century will be the decade of Uttarakhand. We all have to make collective efforts to make Uttarakhand a leading state in every field.
The Chief Minister said that today the honor and respect of soldiers has increased under the leadership of the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi. Today, under the leadership of the Prime Minister, various welfare schemes are being operated in the country. In Uttarakhand, the central government has directly benefited from various schemes, which will directly benefit the people of Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister said that the State Government is continuously taking forward the development journey in the State by running various schemes in every field.
Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi said that the schemes inaugurated and the foundation stone laid today will further accelerate the pace of tourism in Mussoorie. While on one hand the drinking water scheme of Rs 144.46 crore will not cause drinking water crisis in Mussoorie for many decades, on the other hand the construction of parking will provide a permanent solution to the jam. Mussoorie is also an important area of the state from the point of view of tourism. In the last five years, development work in Mussoorie Vidhan Sabha has been done at a rapid pace. Under the leadership of young Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the government is running development schemes in every area.
On this occasion Municipal President Mussoorie Anuj Gupta, BJP Dehradun District President Shamsher Singh Pundir, Vice President District Panchayat Deepak Pundir, Circle President Mohan Petwal and other dignitaries were present.
