Muni ki Reti: (Manoj Rautela) Indian Institute of Architects Uttarakhand Chapter organized a two-day seminar on environmental degradation and the impact of climate change in the state of Uttarakhand on 24th and 25th August at a hotel in Tapovan. More than 40 architects of the state participated in it. Senior architect Divya Kush, former national president, was invited as the chief guest and environmentalist Anoop Nautiyal was invited as the special guest in the program.
Anoop Nautiyal made a special presentation on disasters in Uttarakhand state, climate change and the ill-effects of global, national and Uttarakhand climate change and called upon the architects community to work together with ADG Foundation in the state, and also made a presentation on plastic bank. The chief guest of this program, architect Divya Kush, called upon the young architects to work keeping in mind the construction material and environmental change regarding environmental change. The program was presided over by the chapter president and the session was inaugurated by architect MS Negi and secretary architect Krishna Kuriyal made a presentation on disaster rehabilitation work in Kedarnath and Uttarkashi. In the program, Ashok Kumar, senior scientist CBRI (retired), shared his experience of CBRI in construction material in his address. In the program, senior architects of Uttarakhand Manish Johri, Neeraj Tyagi, Gaurav Verma, Jasdeep Sethi and other young architects shared their work experiences. Architects Ritesh, Kanav, Subodh were present for the coordination of the program. Doval and the program was conducted by Architect Megha. On this occasion, the book “AI in Architecture Transforming Planning Professionals and Students” written by Dr. Akhilesh Kumar was also released. A total of 50 participants, including more than 40 architects from the state of Uttarakhand, participated in this program.
On the second day of the program, a yoga session was organized for the participants in which Architect Kapil explained the benefits of yoga and yoga asanas along with yoga kriya, Surya Namaskar. At the end of the program, the event partner Asahi Glass was thanked by the Chief Coordinator Sanjay Bhargav and President of the Executive Committee Uttarakhand Chapter Indian Institute of Architects. At the end of the program, to create awareness about the environment, every participant was given a sapling for plantation with the message that they should also protect it.
